Lifelines Facilitator Constable Kevin Cloherty (pictured with with Chief Constable Jo Farrell and Kerry McMahon-White, Managing Director of Police Mutual & Forces Mutual) is a Finalist in the Wellbeing category of this year's Chief Constable Excellence Awards.
Police Scotland has recognised Kevin for his exceptional and voluntary commitment to improving the wellbeing of colleagues alongside his frontline policing role.
Through personal dedication, Kevin has developed into a TRiM (Trauma Risk Management) Assessor, Divisional Wellbeing Champion, Lifelines Scotland Peer Supporter & Post Trauma First Aider and Lifelines Course Facilitator. He gives significant personal time to supporting officers and staff exposed to trauma, providing compassion, confidential and professional care.
As a Tutor Constable, he also placed strong emphasis on reflection, learning and emotional wellbeing for probationers. Kevin’s proactive, selfless approach has made a lasting positive impact on colleague wellbeing and organisational resilience.
